Borrowing its title from classic science fiction lore, "Do Cephalopods Dream of Crustaceous Sheep" is a visually stunning exploration of subconscious cosmic oceans. "If you could see inside the mind of an octopus when it was dreaming, I think this would be in the right ballpark," says the artist. The composition features an explosive, organic nebula of deep magenta and smoky black encaustic wax, suggesting the complex, swirling firing of alien neurons or an underwater bioluminescent dreamscape. This fluid, chaotic energy is sharply anchored at the base by precision-laid, metallic gold horizontal bands, creating a powerful dialogue between organic mystery and geometric structure.
