‘Peripheral part 1’ initiates a raw, cosmic journey, establishing the volatile celestial boundary where focused light meets the void of space. As the opening movement of this large-scale diptych, the composition is anchored by a sharp, dramatic diagonal divide. A radiant, sun-drenched golden yellow field dominates the upper panel, mimicking a macro close-up of a blinding stellar surface. This burning core collides with a cold, descending atmospheric expanse of slate gray, indigo, and deep volcanic charcoal. Thick layers of wax have been built up and cratered to evoke the churning textures of solar activity. At the bottom edge a fine constellation of bright yellow plasma stippling breaks through the dark mass, balancing intense stellar force with quiet, minimalist details that invite close exploration.
