‘Peripheral part 2’ shifts the gaze into a darker, more volatile cosmic landscape, capturing the cooling mechanics of an astral event. Acting as the concluding movement of the diptych, this large-scale work evolves the composition as the radiant yellow stellar core from the first piece recedes. In its place, a turbulent upper atmosphere of deep crimson, ochre, and burning orange slices diagonally across the panel. Buried beneath a vast, heavy expanse of charcoal and slate gray, a second violent eruption of bright yellow plasma dots punctures the dark mass, creating a structural and conceptual dialogue with the first piece. Fused layers of wax form a cratered, granular topography that catches ambient light dynamically, balancing quiet cosmic isolation with the intense physical remnants of solar energy.
